Join Georgia Nurses Association (GNA) for our Continuing Nursing Education Seminar

Expanding Your Skills and Making a Difference in Continuing Nursing Education

March 9, 2018

 

8:30 am – 3:00 pm (Registration begins at 7:45 am)

GNA Headquarters in Atlanta located at 3032 Briarcliff Rd, Atlanta, GA 30329

 

Who should attend?

This seminar is for all GNA-approved providers, nurses, administrators, and those interested in developing effective continuing nursing education (CNE) activities.

 

What is the cost?

The cost is $55.00 for GNA members and $65.00 for non- GNA members. Students are welcome! Cost covers refreshments, lunch, education materials, and processing certificates (see contact hour information below).

 

What will be covered?

This interactive blended learning event, presented by the Continuing Education Review Committee, will review the newest accreditation criteria from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) and how to effectively design instructionally sound continuing education activities.

 

Georgia Nurses Association – Approver is accredited as an approver of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.

A few Highlights:

v  We will address the current state of nursing and its impact on continuing nursing education.

 

v  We will answer key questions including: What is a professional practice gap? How do you determine a professional practice gap? How to develop learning outcomes that diminish or close the practice gap.

 

v  We will address Conflicts of Interest (COI), effective teaching strategies, evidence-based content, and return on investment to highlight your work as educators.

 

v  We will take an up close and informative review of how to complete GNA’s Individual Activity Application and Approved Provider Application!  If you have an application you are working on, BRING IT!

 

During the day, meet and network with fellow nursing colleagues and educators.
