The Georgia Nurses Association (GNA) recently hosted House Health and Human Services Chairwoman and fellow nurse, Representative Sharon Cooper. This marked representative Cooper's first visit to the GNA building. She was given a tour and was invited to use this building as her home.

Several members of our Board of Directors and our foundations Board of Directors were present as well as several APRNs. GNA President Aimee Manion Says "I was very pleased with the outcome, this is a step in the right direction."

GNA CEO Marcus Downs states that "GNA would like to host a meet and greet for every nursing professional who serves under the Gold Dome- Senate HHS Chairwoman, Senator Renee Unterman and recently elected House member, Representative Jodi Lott. These representatives need to know that this is their home away from home, and that there are many nurses in the state who support their efforts.
